Just Cause 3 is a third-person action/adventure game that continues the journey of Rico Rodriguez as he fights to free his home island from its dictatorial ruler. Along the way, he'll deal with super weapons, an angry army, and more explosions than any sane person should ever expect to see.

If there is a B-movie equivalent for a video game, Just Cause 3 is that. It's a silly game filled with explosions, cheesy acting, and even more explosions. It's certainly pretty, and it certainly has a great physics engine. At the end of the day, though, that's about all there is - it's a skin-deep game, and that's fine. If you enjoy blowing things up in creative ways, you won't find a better game on the market.

The cons, unfortunately, have a little more depth to them. Just Cause 3 is all about its physics engine, which means that it's going to be tough on quite a few computers. A little slowdown wouldn't be the end of the world for most games, but one with controls as loose as this one suffers from any stutter. Fortunately, players will have plenty of time to get used to the problems, because they'll largely be doing the same tasks over and over again. Coupled with a story that frankly barely exists, you get an experience that doesn't quite live up to the AAA label.

Is Just Cause 3 good? Maybe not. It is; however, fun. And in a video game, that counts for quite a bit. If you can look past the story, the lack of content, and the general issues with controls, you'll find a silly game that is worth a play.
